Drawing is a first love, but always something I’ve done for myself. There have been a few commissions and client projects, but these were all just for fun. This page will probably get updated as inspiration strikes.
This is the way.
I lived in NYC for 12 years. I met my wife there. When we met, she was a skating referee for Gotham Girls Roller Derby, so we spent a lot of our early dating life together trackside. These “mascot” pin-ups are nod to GGRD’s earlier years—with its aesthetic roots in burlesque and fringe culture.
These are two from a series combining ancient Greek goddesses with mid-century cheesecake pin-up art—specifically the work of Gil Elvgren.
